Tip of the Season:
When you are baiting your bear; bang and klang your bait buckets together, and then when you go to hunt have a friend bring you in banging and klanging and then when they leave have them bang the buckets together on their way out.

Elk hunting northern idaho

Idaho Sportsman brings you the best of the Northwest! We are a group of country boys and girls living in a small town in North Idaho, who grew up hunting and fishing.

Our passion for the outdoors started with Rocky Mountain Elk and whitetail deer, but has evolved over the years into antelope, black bear, mule deer, duck hunts, pheasant hunts, and our once in a lifetime moose hunt. On our Idaho hunting and fishing information web site we provide articles to help hunters and fisherman, to better understand the techniques of hunting and fishing in Idaho. We offer forums for people to post about their outdoor experiences and share success and tips.

When we're not in the woods we are on the water. We spend possibly more time on the lakes and rivers of North Idaho than we do in the National Forest! Our fish of choice are the largemouth bass and northern pike, which we spend most of our time pursuing, but we do break out the fly fishing rods when we are scouting for elk season. Salmon and steelhead are the newest game fish we have been after and it seems to one more to add to our favorites.

Our Fathers taught us hunting with rifles, but we have moved into the exciting world of bow hunting. We love the challenge and the up-close connection with all idaho wildlife.

With all the hunting and fishing we do, we want to offer our knowledge and experiences with others who share the outdoor beauty that is IDAHO, so take a guided trip through our videos, photos, tips, and articles; who knows maybe it will help you bag that big Idaho bull or buck, or catch that pike or bass of a lifetime.
